CHAIRMAN’S PERSPECTIVE
I feel honored to welcome you to Indira Gandhi Memorial Senior Secondary School to experience world class education, the basis of all progress, with a difference to revive those Indian values today seems to be outmoded and has lost its worth. We believe in teaching thought not content. In fact, in this era of information access, we shall teach student to think. Design their own learning opportunities and create and do remarkable things that are relevant to them- They will create healthy self identities and to be tolerant to out-of-the-box thinking and do good work and act locally and think globally to create a better world while preserving our core Indian values. Moreover, learning accomplishments of our students will be recognized and rewarded consistently.
In addition to this, our students and teachers may be given greater flexibility to design more authentic learning experiences. I want every single child and family to feel welcomed and understood on equal terms by being authentic and transparent in shaping the future of our institution. We value our teachers, academic administrators and parents as agent of student’s success. So we have taken a venture to strengthen the early childhood education and focus more on middle school education for students to decide upon a career stream, which they can opt for themselves later in life. We put our endeavor to produce students who can empathize, evaluate, protect, love, inspire, restore and understand almost anything and then do so as a matter of habit.
I believe in the diction of Albert Einstein,
“Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.”
There is no better way to pay back to the society than providing the most desired and important infrastructure in the form of modern education. So I intent to provide the world with motivated, responsible and disciplined youth to shape a better future. Consequently, our students are bound to Arise, Awake and Ascend to greater heights to make us proud.
To accomplish my mission, I would definitely need cooperation of everyone associated to our school family.
– Shri Vinod Rai
FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK
“Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations”
Today, the role of a school is not only to pursue excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing global society. The talents, skills, and abilities of each student need to be identified, nurtured, and encouraged so that he / she is able to reach greater heights. Students need to be provided with a platform to think, express, and exhibit their skills. It is necessary to empower them to negotiate several issues that confront them, with the teacher being a facilitator.
Mrs. Rina Sharma
Indira Gandhi Memorial Senior Secondary School is striving hard to make the best possible efforts to inculcate strong values combining with academics and extra-curricular activities in the children. Converting every individual into a self-reliant and independent citizen, the school provides an amalgam of scholastic and co-scholastic activities. No wonder, a student harnessed in such an atmosphere has every hope and possibility of becoming a responsible, balanced and a mature adult and is able to live in to contribute and to shoulder responsibilities of the society, of which he forms an integral part. Children need a supportive environment at home and at school. They need to set goals, within their reach until they gain confidence and determination. They should re-examine their priorities, set clean goals and make specific plans to achieve what they desire. Focusing on specific goals, helps them move forward purposefully in life. They would, thus, have the pleasure of watching their dreams into reality.
While academic excellence is our major thrust, the school is also devoted to prepare the students for life, groom them to face the challenges to tomorrow, and encourage them to be socially relevant. We constantly endeavour to always live up to this ideology and inculcate this into everything we do, with the aim that we will be able to ensure that the children grow to their full potential, while constantly being groomed to pass out as men and women competent to bear responsibility in all walks of life. The parents are the most strengthening power in moulding the future of children. Their consistent support empowers us to do more and more. I pay my gratitude to them for their faith in us.
I am confident enough that our students will make themselves stronger day by day, adding a new leaf to the grandeur of the school.

FROM THE PEN OF RECTOR & SECRETARY
Indira Gandhi Memorial Senior Secondary School is a noble place for students from various backgrounds to grow truly and have meaningful school experience. I strongly feel that an educational institution is not just about infrastructure but about building character, enriching minds and enhancing experiences in a healthy ambience that last forever.
Life is not a set of instructions but a series of experiences and learning processes .Our mission is to design a unique system where learning will not be just a series of instructions and lectures but a passion which goes beyond books. In this context I would like to quote the following words of a great scholar –David M. Burns
“Aim for success, not just for perfection .Never give up your right to be wrong, because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life. Remember that fear always lurks behind perfectionism.”
In fact, nothing is perfect in life and as we strive to make the world a better place for all to live in, it is important to educate ourselves on the importance of tolerance and deeper understanding.
I wish to see all my children who have been entrusted with us, may come out of our institution after the completion of class 12th examination as an ideal citizen, worthy of our motherland. At this juncture ,it is my earnest request to all the mentors as well as the parents of our children to monitor their likes, dislikes, aptitude and IQ level and accordingly guide them to choose their stream at ISC level. If we all wish to see them successful in their career, Please let them select their career by choice not by chance, it will motivate them to be a lifelong learner.
I strongly feel that as seniors, we should always try to teach our children to take the path of honesty and perseverance even in worst situations in spite of knowing the fact that children have never been very good at listening their elders but we also know that they are very good imitators by nature. Therefore, instead of preaching them the lessons of honesty and tolerance ,we should try to be their role models by being honest and liberal in our accomplishments .We focus on encouragement ,enthusiasm and affection rather than criticism fear and punishment. We constantly work to develop a sense of discipline and a good moral character, where all the students are expected to conform to high disciplinary standards and to develop values of tolerance, fair play, compassion, integrity and fortitude.
IGMSSS motivates its faculty to provide homely atmosphere with parental love, where children are encouraged to be creative and curious instead of routinely loading them with academic burden. We want our students to learn English which is a foreign language to them, in such a way so that they may express themselves with least effort for which we motivate them to read English story books, newspapers, magazines and periodicals etc. and also encourage them to watch healthy English programmes .Moreover, we provide them a platform to express themselves by participating in various activities like quiz, debate, elocution, and seminars etc. At the same time, we make sure that vernacular language is also given due importance.
We try incessantly to improve communication with parents and the community so that everybody is updated about school’s activities and achievements, so that they may reflect and revert with suggestions and appreciations ,on our website and Facebook page .I congratulate and thank all the parents for having faith in us and entrusting us with the responsibility of bringing out the best in their child .Let me assure you ,that together , we will set new standards and reanalyse our prospective and make you feel proud of our students’ achievements during their schooling
Stay safe and blessed

DIRECTOR’S PERSPECTIVE
I am truly happy and excited that Indira Gandhi Memorial Senior Secondary School has given me opportunity to direct its noble mission of empowering pupils to develop in various sector.
Our school represents a cross section of the society and is a rich blanket of multi cultural diversity. Children come to us from varied cultural, social, racial and religious backgrounds. Within school they learn to live together as one big family, regardless of their roots and create newer and stronger bonds with each other that will last them a life time.
You are to the manor born, so to speak, for you lack for nothing. Think of others who are not as fortunate as you. Learn to excel, value people and individual judgment, be gentle, develop firm opinions, purge your heart of grudges, and work for a better tomorrow. Take pride in what you have, in your school, your city, your nation. Grow up to be responsible citizens. Success cannot be measured by material achievement alone, your contribution to the world and society matters more than what you get out of it.
Our institution have been taking necessary steps to improve quality of education, Standard of teaching, method of examination and development of skills etc.
At the end I would like to thank all the parents who have reposed faith in our institution and the ideals it stands for. Let me assure you that your loved ones are in safe hands. Our staff understands the ethos of the school and help in guiding and encouraging the children and I am sure that the children will make both you and us proud.
“Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think- Albert Einstein”
I am truly obliged and thankful to all the members of Managing Committee, teachers and staff for their support in every thin and thick way through out. I wish to see my children doing better at every step in all spheres of life.
I pray to Almighty to keep all the members of my extended school family safe, healthy and enlightened.
